  • Recently married my wife and I were on our honeymoon, and enroute to Barrie when we pulled in to Casey's Park to spend the night. As we paid for our stay that night I asked the owner Alex if there might be any musicians staying in the park. He said, "There sure are. They're all jamming just around the corner there," I went and took a look. To my delight I saw a stage all set up with sound equipment and a good number of folks sitting in for a real good session. Said to my wife. " Hon.lets get setup so we can grab our ukes and join in." That's exactly what we did and we had a blast. Alex told us shortly after that if we like that kind of thing we should come back the next weekend. Being the Labor Day weekend there would be a three day jam session finishing with a karioke style variety show on Monday. We checked out the next day and went up to Barrie to spend a few days there, and though we had originally intended to go further North we both agreed that we couldn't pass up on the coming weekend at Casey's. We returned to the park sat in on all the musical fun, and absolutely had a blast.Alex, and his wife are very gracious hosts who work very hard keeping their park immaculate. The jam sessions are every week, and long weekends are always a three day jam. From our one time chance encounter looking simply to stay one night I am confident in saying that we will be returning for may more years to come. If you're a musician of any level from rank beginner up, or just if you like to have some fun with some of the friendliest folk around I will definately recommend a stay at Casey's

  • We came late on Canada day and they made a site for us. They serve fries and burgers on weekends and have descent wifi, there is a band shell and played live music all weekend. Good time for a last minute place.
